It is used in the manufacture of building materials. It is also used for special construction works, in leather industry (as a preservative and for the disinfection of raw materials), as well as in some branches of light industry. As a wood preservative sodium silicofluoride is used in construction industry. Sodium silicofluoride is an important component of construction mixes, such as plaster and concrete. Also, sodium silicofluoride is used in the production of white carbon and for the production of a nontransparent glass industry (glass etching).
