It is used for the synthesis of acetic oxide, acetone cyanohydrin, diphenylol propane and other products, as well as a solvent in various industries.
Ethyl acetate is most widely used in the manufacture of nitrocellulose varnishes and enamels. Compared to acetone, its advantage is in higher boiling point (lower volatility). It is used for the production of synthetic oligoester acrylates, polyethylene terephthalate fibers, hydraulic fluids and for other purposes, for example, for the production of dust suppressants.
It is used as a solvent in a coating industry. The solvent for flexographic inks, a retarder in flexographic gravure printing. It is applied in accordance with the recommendations of the ink manufacturer.
