General properties
The acid is a mixture of undistilled fatty acids derived from vegetable oils, waste from the processing of vegetable oils and other fat-containing raw material, put to upgrading.
Application
Oleic acid and its esters are used for paint materials, as plasticizers. It is used in soap making; as well as (as lubricating fluid) in cutting action of tough high-alloy and stainless steels and alloys. It is also used for the finishing of the sealing surfaces from corrosion, stainless steels and hard alloys, metal removal rates up to 22 um. (source RD 24.023.53-90).
Range of application
Oleic acid and its salts are used as components of detergents, paint oils, varnishes, emulsifiers, flotation agents; oleic acid esters – as cellulose plasticizers, methyl oleate is a standard material in chromatography, textile auxiliary agent is used in the manufacture of oleyl (oleinic) alcohol; ethyl oleate is a component of finish coats, which give water-repellent property to fabrics, lubricant in the manufacture of polymer articles.
Oleic acid is used in the manufacture of coating materials, oleyl alcohol, etc.; Oleic acid itself and some of its esters are used as plasticizers (for example, in the manufacture of rubber).
