The oxidized drying oil is a solution of oxidized vegetable oil in synthetic solvents modified with siccative. It penetrates excellently into the wood pores, highlights the article structure and is featured by high resistance to wear and good drying properties.
Main properties:
The oxidized drying oil is intended for diluting the paste paints, for impregnation of wooden surfaces, for impregnation of plaster before applying the oil paints onto it, for preparation of fillings and primers and as a material for protection of wood against overdrying under domestic conditions and for industrial purposes. The enamel is ready for application and to be applied onto a dry surface. It is recommended to stir the oxidized drying oil prior to application. The oxidized drying oil solvent should be applied at a temperature of not lower than +10°С. The oxidized drying oil provides very good protection of wood and wooden articles against adverse impacts of environment as well as against rotting, mould and wood engravers.
Method of application:
The oxidized drying oil should be applied by means of a roller or brush with a break of 24-36 hours (depending on the air temperature and humidity) onto dry surface cleaned from fat, dust and other contaminants. The drying of each layer at the ambient temperature of +20°С takes 24 hours.
On finishing the works, the tools shall be cleaned using white spirit (NEFRAS S-4-150/200).
The oxidized drying oil is NOT SUITABLE for painting of floors.
Safety precautions:
All works with oxidized drying oil shall be performed in well-ventilated rooms or in rooms provided with suction-and-exhaust ventilation. It is not allowed to leave rags impregnated with drying oil in a room. The drying oil shall be kept in a tightly closed container.
