Alkyl benzene sulphonic acid (ABSA) is a product of inorganic chemistry obtained by alkylation with followed by linear alkyl benzene sulfonation.

In appearance, ABSA is a light dark brown to blackish viscous liquid depending on a grade. It is classified as grade A, B, V.

Alkyl benzene sulphonic acid (ABSA) is used when producing alkyl benzene sulphonates, detergent components, surface active agents, washing powders, when producing urea formaldehyde foam insulation, foam plastic, sulfonols, etc.

Appearance: brown to black liquid depending on a grade.

Sphere of Application:

  • when producing agents for plant protection,
  • for producing pesticide oil emulsion concentrates,
  • used as a disperser of vapor formation processes when producing artificial leathers and film materials,
  • may be added as a modifier of rubber mixtures,
  • in foam plastic production.
