Type: nitrocellulose varnish.
Sphere of application: it is intended for finishing the furniture and other woodwork to be used indoors with or without subsequent polishing.
Properties: the varnish ensures the obtaining of a smooth glossy coating. The coating of the NTs-218 varnish is resistant to the temperature variation from minus 12°C to plus 60°C. The dried coating causes no harmful action upon the human organism. Keep the varnish in tightly closed containers within dry unheated room. Protect against heat, direct sunlight and moisture.
Surface preparation: before applying the varnish, the wooden surface shall be preliminarily dried, sanded and cleaned from dust.
Coating application: prior to application, the NTs-218 shall be thoroughly stirred. The varnish shall be applied to the surface of the articles by pouring or air-stream spraying. Prior to application, the varnish shall be diluted to the working viscosity with the RML thinner; in case of air-stream spraying, it is allowed to use the solvent of the mark 646.
Should the varnish be applied in several (three or four layers), each layer shall be dried for one hour at room temperature; the last layer shall be dried for 36 hours. To improve the gloss, it is recommended to polish the film with polishing compound of 291 type.
Varnish consumption: 85-105 g/m2.
Safety precautions: when performing the painting works as well as after finishing them, it is necessary to ventilate the room thoroughly. Keep the varnish from getting onto skin. Use rubber gloves to protect your hands. Keep away from fire!
Warranty period: 12 months from the date of manufacture.
