Sphere of application
The AK-113 varnish is suitable for application to both ferrous/non-ferrous metals, and to non-metal surfaces. The manufacturers deliver these products in two types: the acryl resin solution constitutes the basis and melamineformaldehyde resin.
Method and recommendations for application
Prior to application of the varnish, any rust, dust and dirt deposits as well as other contaminants shall be removed from the surface to be treated. Immediately during the application, the blend shall be doped with plasticizers. After stirring, the varnish shall be held for at least two hours at room temperature. The material shall be applied to the surface either by air-stream spraying, or by means of a brush or roller. The varnish shall be applied in 1-2 layers, the works shall be performed within the temperature range of +10 to +30°C at the air humidity of not above 80%. The temperature of the surface to be treated shall exceed the dew point by 3 degrees and more. Desiccation of the varnish at room temperature takes at least three hours. The second layer shall only be applied after desiccation of the first layer. The used tool shall be washed with solvent No.646 or R-5.
Specifications
Material appearance: transparent uniform substance having no additional inclusions.
The material consumption is 100-200 g/m2 for a single-layer coating.
Guaranteed shelf life: 9 months from the date of manufacture.
The varnish shall be kept in closed containers with protection against sunlight at a temperature of -30 to +30°C.
