Type: acid-cured urea-alkyd varnish.
Sphere of application: intended for coating parqueted floors.
Properties: the varnish ensures obtaining of glossy coating with high hardness and wear resistance. The dried coating causes no harmful effect on the human organism.
Keep the varnish in a tightly closed container ensuring the protection against moisture and direct sunlight.
Surface preparation: the varnish shall be applied to a scraped and ground surface. Before applying the varnish, the old floors shall be scraped thoroughly to remove completely the mastic layer.
Coating application: the varnish is prepared immediately before application by mixing the semimanufactured varnish and acid catalyst included in the scope of delivery in proportion of: 80 g of catalyst per 1 kg of varnish. The varnish mixed with the catalyst is suitable for application within 8 hours. If necessary, the varnish can be diluted with butanol or RKB-1 thinner (mixture of xylene and butanol in proportion of 1:1). The varnish is applied by means of a brush or roller the scraped and ground surface of the parquet in 2-3 layers with interlayer drying for 3 hours.
The varnish consumption for three-layer coating is 250-300 g/m2.
Safety precautions: when performing the painting works as well as after finishing them, it is necessary to ventilate the room thoroughly. Use rubber gloves to protect your hands. Keep away from fire!
Warranty period of the varnish and catalyst: 6 months from the date of manufacture.
