Sphere of application
It can be used for treatment of concrete, glass, ceramic and metal surfaces. Application of the varnish makes it possible to improve the corrosion-inhibiting and hydrophobic properties as well as frost resistance of other paintwork materials, to which the KO-815 is added.
Application method
Prior to application of KO-815 varnish, the surface shall be prepared as per GOST Federal Standard 9.402 (degreased and cleaned from oxides to degrees 2 and 1, respectively) or as per MS ISO 8501-1 (degree Sa2 or St3). Immediately prior to application, the varnish shall be held at least 24 hours at room temperature. Preparation of the material for application implies mixing the paintwork materials with aluminum powder in proportion specified in the instruction enclosed; the stirring shall be performed for at least 10 minutes. It is allowed to apply the varnish in the temperature range of +5 to +35°C. The recommended number of layers is 1 or 2, in case of double-layer coating, the surface shall be held for at least one hour at room temperature.

KO-815 varnish is a material to be used both as semimanufactured enamel (for manufacturing the KO-813 heat resistant enamel) and as a substance for its independent use.
The surface treated with the varnish can be used within the temperature the range of -60 to +300°C.
Alkyd and acrylic paints and varnished are the substances, for which the KO-815 varnish is used as modifying additive.
