Type: The “Interior Standard” and “Interior Econom” VD paint for interior works are suspensions of pigments and fillers in water dispersion of acryl copolymer with addition of target additives.

Sphere of application: they are intended for high-quality protective and decorative paint of walls and ceilings inside dry rooms. They are applied over brick, concrete, plastered and gypsum surface.

Advantages: The “Interior Standard” and “Interior Econom” VD paint for interior works are odorless and form a smooth velvety mat surface after drying-up. The paints have good coverage rate and high whiteness, and their thixotropy ensures absence of streaks when applying the paint and ensures the homogeneity and uniformity of the coating layer thickness. The paints are resistant to insignificant physical impacts and have good adhesion to concrete, brick, gypsum board and plastered surfaces. The coating formed from the paints does not chalk and is resistant to dry abrasion. The paints are resistant to mould and fungi.

The “Interior Standard” and “Interior Econom” colored paints are produces according to the catalogue of Lakokraska OJSC for the VD-AK-228 “OS” water-dispersion paint for interior works and NCS catalogue.

Recommendation for application: The “Interior Standard” and “Interior Econom” paints are easy to apply to clean, dry and strong surface. Prior to painting the old, loose coatings or parts of the base, chalk or lime-chalk coatings, they should be removed mechanically or by sand- or hydroblast method.

The coating defects shall be smoothed-out with plaster mortar. Painting over the plaster and filler containing lime is not recommended. The mineral surfaces shall have age of at least 28 days prior to painting. The allowable residual humidity prior to painting shall not exceed 8%. The minimum temperature of the surface and ambient air shall not be below plus 7°C. It is allowed to use the “Interior Standard” and “Interior Econom” paint diluted with tap water in proportion 3:1 as a priming layer. The time of drying of the priming layer is at least 1.5 hours at a temperature of (20±2)°С. The paints shall be applied to the prepared base by means of a roller or brush in two layers with the intermediate drying for 1.5 hours at a temperature of (20±2)°С. If necessary, the paints may be diluted with tap water in the quantity not exceeding 5% of the paint mass.

The consumption of the “Interior Standard” and “Interior Econom” paints is 150-200 g/m2 per single-layer coating. The consumption depends on the roughness of the base, application method and painter's skills.

The tools and containers shall be washed with water not later than 10-15 min after finishing the work.

Safety precautions: The “Interior Standard” and “Interior Econom” paints are non-toxic and fire- and explosion-safe. Mixing the paints with other paints/varnishes and organic solvents is not allowed. Should the paint get into eyes or onto mucous membranes and skin, they shall be washed with plenty of water.

Storage: the paints shall be stored in tightly closed polyethylene containers at a temperature of not lower than plus 5°C and protected against direct sunlight. In winter, it is allowed to transport the paint in heat-insulated trucks and to store it in heated rooms.
