Type: alkyd pentaphtol varnish.
Sphere of application: it is intended for obtaining a weather-resistant coating on the preliminary prepared surface of aluminum and its alloys as well as for using as an additive to plyptal and pentaphtol for increasing the coating shine.
Properties: the varnish ensures the obtaining of a transparent weather-resistant highly glossy coating.
Surface preparation: before applying the varnish, the wooden surface shall be preliminarily sanded and cleaned from dust; the metal surface shall be cleaned from contaminants, rust and scale using abrasive cloth and degreased using solvent.
Coating application: prior to application, the PF-170 varnish shall be stirred thoroughly. The varnish shall be applied on the surface to be painted by the spraying or dipping method or by means of a brush. If necessary, the varnish shall be diluted prior to application with solvent, xylene or mixture of one of them with white spirit in proportions: white spirit/xylene: 3:2, white spirit/solvent: 1:1. The varnish drying time at a temperature of (20±2)°С is no more than 72 hours, at 90°С – no more than 3 hours.
The varnish consumption for a single-layer coating is 70-75 g/m2.
Storage: keep the varnish in a tightly closed container ensuring the protection against moisture and direct sunlight.
Warranty period: 12 months from the date of manufacture.
Safety precautions: when performing the painting works as well as after finishing them, it is necessary to ventilate the room thoroughly. Use rubber gloves to protect your hands. Keep away from fire!
