KhV-785 enamel, KhV-784 varnish

Type: enamels based on chlorinated polyvinyl-chloride and alkyd resins with addition of plasticizer. Black KhV-785 enamel with addition of pencil graphite and KhV-784 varnish based on chlorinated polyvinyl-chloride resin with addition of plasticizer.
Sphere of application: they are intended to provide the protection in the multilayer coating of the preliminarily primed surfaces of the equipment, metal structures as well as concrete and reinforced concrete building structures to be operated indoors against attack of aggressive gases, acids and solutions of salts and alkalis at a temperature of not above 60°С.
The black and reddish-brown enamels are intended also for protection of preliminarily primed surfaces of metal surfaces of metal structures in a multilayer coating, which are to be used under atmospheric conditions, against attack of aggressive gases of chemical industries at a temperature of not above 60°C and KhV-784 varnish – for priming concrete structures.
Properties: the enamels are manufactured are manufactured in various colors, the iodometric scale color of the KhV-784 varnish corresponds to no more than 7 mg of iodine. After desiccation, the film of enamel and varnish shall be uniform and free of wrinkles, pock-marks, sags and foreign inclusions. The varnish film is glossy.
Surface preparation: the surface shall be clean and dry.
Coating application: prior to application, the enamel shall be stirred thoroughly and diluted to the working viscosity with R-4 or R-4A solvent. They shall be applied by spraying method over KhS-068, KhS-010, KhS-059, FL-03K primers. Drying: no more than 1 hour at (20±2)°C. The consumption for a single layer of enamels is 135-150 g/m2 and that of varnish is 175-200 g/m2.
Safety precautions: when performing the painting works as well as after finishing them, it is necessary to ventilate the room thoroughly. Use rubber gloves to protect your hands. Keep the enamel and varnish in a tightly closed container ensuring the protection against moisture and direct sunlight.
