Type: water-dispersion paint based on dispersion of acryl copolymer with introduction of various functional additives, pigments and fillers.
Sphere of application: the paint it is intended for protective and decorative painting of all and new roofs made of mineral materials: asbestos-cement (slate) sheets, cement-chipboard at air temperature of not below 15°С.
Advantages: the “Krovlya” slate paint forms the coating having good decorative and protective properties. The paint protects the mineral roofing materials against arising of moss, algae, lichens, mould and rot. The acryl base of the paint ensures good adhesion to the surface to be painted, resistance to impact of atmospheric factors, such as rain, snow, UF-radiation. Bright saturated colors ensure the excellent appearance of the roof. The paint is easy to apply by means of a brush and non-toxic, it dries quickly under natural conditions.
Surface preparation: prior to painting, a new surface shall be cleaned from dust and an old one – from moss, dirt and dust, treated with antiseptic and washed with water.
Coating application: prior to application, the paint should be stirred thoroughly and can be diluted as necessary with tap water in the quantity of no more than 5% (by volume). The paint shall be applied to the prepared surface by means of a brush in two layers. For the first, priming layer, the paint can be diluted with water in the quantity of 10% (by volume). For the second, finish layer, the paint shall not be diluted. The time of drying of each layer is at least 1 hour at the ambient temperature of 20°С and relative air humidity of no more than 65%. The painting works should be performed under favorable weather conditions, i.e. at a temperature of not lower than 15°C, in the absence of rain, strong wind or fog. On finishing the work, the containers and tools shall be washed from wet paint with warm water with soap. Dried up spots shall be removed using acetone.
Paint consumption: 100-200 g/m2 for a single-layer coating.
Storage conditions: the paint shall be stored in tightly closed polyethylene container at a temperature of plus 15°С to plus 35°С and protected against direct sunlight.
In winter, it is allowed to transport the paint in heat-insulated trucks and to store it in heated storage rooms.
Safety precautions: the paint is fire- and explosion-safe. The dried coating causes no toxic effect on the environment and human organism. Mixing the paint with other paints/varnishes and organic solvents is not allowed. Should the paint get accidentally into eyes or onto mucous membranes and skin, they shall be washed with plenty of water.
The warranty period of the paint is 12 months from the date of manufacture.
