TU BY 500021625.193-2012.
Coating color: white, the tint is not standardized.
Type: the paint is a suspension of pigments and in fillers in water dispersion with introduction of various antiseptic, antifungal and antimicrobial additives.
Sphere of application: the “Sadovichok” tree-protecting paint it is intended for protective and decorative painting of the stems and snags of main branches of fruit and decorative trees and brushwood for the purpose of improvement of winter hardiness of bark; protection against sunburns, rodents and hares; prevention of development of mosses and lichens as well as improvement of decease resistance.
Advantages: the paint contains the antiseptic, antifungal and antimicrobial additives, which make it possible to protect the plants against penetration of pest insects and spores of pathogenic fungi.
The painting substitutes the liming and has properties that are more efficient. The protective coating does not hinder natural air exchange, remains on the plant surface for at least one year and tolerates the temperature variation from minus 40 to plus 40°С.
Note: the surfacing of water phase and formation of a precipitate during the storage are allowed provided the paint complies with the requirements of the Technical specification after thorough stirring.
The paint shall be packaged as per GOST 9980.3, group 10, into polymeric containers with the capacity of 2 l, 5 l, 10 l and 20 l (with the net weight of 2 kg, 5 kg, 10 kg and 20 kg). The packaging into containers of other kinds according to the applicable technological regulations is allowed provided such containers ensure the safekeeping of the paint during the transportation and storage.
Surface preparation: the paint shall be applied to the prepared surface of trees. To do this, the stems and snags of lower main branches shall be cleaned from mosses, lichens and loose old bark by means of a brush with hard bristle or similar tool. It is preferable to clean the stems after abundant rainfalls, because the swollen bark flakes away faster than the dry one. Everything cleaned off shall be incinerated. Cleaning of the stems improves the gas exchange as well as viability of trees. However, the cleaning is only required for mature trees, because the bark of young transplants is elastic even without cleaning.
Recommendation for application: the paint shall be applied by means of either brush or sprayer. Prior to application, the paint shall be stirred thoroughly and diluted with water as necessary. The paint should be diluted to such viscosity, at which the paint does not flow down from the brush, but is easy to apply to the surface.
The trees and bushes shall be painted twice a year: in autumn and forward spring, at the environment temperature of above 5°С. No paint shall be applied, should it be raining or snowing.
It is recommended to apply the paint in 1-2 layers from the roots and above the snags of the main crotches of branches by 30 cm.
Time of full drying-up of the coating: 48 hours.
The paint consumption is:
- for transplants and young trees: 50-70 g per single-layer coating;
- for fruit-bearing trees: 180-200 g per single-layer coating.
Transportation and storage: the paint shall be stored in a tightly closed polyethylene container and transported at a temperature of plus 5 to plus 40°C.
The paint is fire- and explosion-safe, non-toxic.
Safety precautions: the persons involved in performance of the painting works shall be provided with personal protective equipment (overalls, protective goggles and rubber gloves).
It is not allowed to mix the paint with other paints or solvents of any type.
On finishing the works, the containers and tools shall be washed and the paint spots shall be removed using soapy water before drying-up of paint.
The hardened paint residues and empty polyethylene containers shall be disposed as household garbage.
Warranty period of the paint: 6 months from the date of manufacture.
