Type: paint based on homopolymer polyvinyl-acetate dispersion for works indoors including the rooms with increased humidity (kitchens, bathrooms and toilets). After drying, the paint forms the white film with smooth uniform mat surface.
Sphere of application: it is intended for interior and exterior painting of buildings and structures over brick, concrete, plastered, wooden and other porous surfaces (except for floors), over old coatings as well as in the rooms with increased humidity (kitchens, bathrooms, toilets). The paint is used for painting both new and previously painted surfaces indoors.
Advantages: The VD-VA-224 paint ensures the obtaining of smooth mat surface. The coating is washable. The paint is fast-drying. The service life of the coating consisting of two paint layers under the temperate climate conditions is at least 5 years. The paint is frost-resistant and retains its property after thawing. The paint shall be stored and transported in tightly closed containers at a temperature of above 0°С. It is allowed to transport and store the paint at a temperature of down to minus 40°С, but for no more than one month. The paint is fire- and explosion-safe. Do not mix the paint with other paints or solvents!
Surface preparation: the old coating indoors shall be washed preliminarily with water with soap or detergent, aqua ammonia or 3% solution of soda (1 table spoon per 1 l of water) and then with clean water and then dried. The surfaces, which were coated earlier with chalk or lime water colors, shall be cleaned thoroughly to remove completely the old coating. Loose exterior coating shall be removed completely.
Coating application: prior to application of the paint, which was earlier frozen, it shall be defrosted at room temperature, stirred until an indiscrete mass is obtained and, if necessary, diluted with water to viscosity of 20-30 s as measured by means of the VZ-246 viscosimeter (4 mm nozzle) for application by means of an air-stream sprayer and 40-80 s for application by means of a brush or roller.
The paint shall be applied to the prepared surface by means of a brush, roller or spray gun in two layers with drying each layer for 1 hour at a temperature of (20±2)°С. The paint consumption is 110-150 g/m2 per layer. The paint consumption depends on absorption capacity and roughness of the surface. Tinting the paint with water-based pigment pastes is allowed.
