KhS-059 primer, KhS-759 enamel, KhS-724 varnish

Type: based on the copolymer of vinyl chloride with vinyl acetate with addition of epoxy resin (not to be introduced into varnish) and plasticizer with introduction of hardener No.3 or No.5.
Sphere of application: to be used for painting of outer surfaces of freight cars and tank-cars, equipment, metal and reinforced-concrete structures exposed to attack of solutions of mineral acids, alkalis, salts, aggressive gases and other chemical reagents with the temperature of not above 60°C to be operated under atmospheric conditions of various climatic regions as well as indoors. It is allowed to apply the primer for other KhV and KhS enamels.
Properties: it forms the chemically resistant paint-and-varnish coating, the film is uniform and free of wrinkles, dimples, sags and foreign inclusions. The varnish film is glossy.
Surface preparation: the prepared surface shall be clean, dry and degreased.
Coating application: prior to applying the primer, the enamel shall be stirred thoroughly and hardener shall be added: 2.8 weight parts of hardener No.5 or 3 weight parts of hardener No.3 per 100 weight parts of semimanufactured enamel and 2.6 weight parts of hardener No.5 or 2.8 weight parts of hardener No.3 per 100 weight parts of primer. It shall be diluted to the working viscosity with R-4 or R-4A solvent. The enamel and primer with hardener shall be used within 8 hours. It shall be applied by means of an air-stream sprayer. The drying time of the primer and enamel no more than 1 hour and that of the varnish is no more than 2 hours at (20±2)°С.
The consumption of the KhS-059 primer per layer is 160 g/m2 and that of KhS-759 enamel is 130-140 g/m2 and that of KhS-724 varnish is 100-120 g/m2.
Safety precautions: when performing the painting works as well as after finishing them, it is necessary to ventilate the room thoroughly. Use rubber gloves to protect your hands. Keep the enamel in a tightly closed container ensuring the protection against moisture and direct sunlight. Keep away from fire! The warranty period is 6 months from the date of manufacture.
