Ammonium molybdate (hexammonium heptamolybdate 4-hydrate) is colorless or yellowish, or greenish crystals soluble in water.
Application
Ammonium molybdate is intended for production of wire, bars, stripes, ribbons, for hydrofining catalysts, production of electric-bulb equipment, UHP molybdenum and solid alloys.
In histochemistry, ammonium molybdate is used as a reagent for nucleiс acid organic phosphorous; in electron microscopy as a contrasting substance.
Ammonium molybdate is also used in production of premixes for molybdenum addition to combined fodder. Ammonium molybdate is used for preplanting seed dusting (it is primarily used for legumen crops), etc.
