Manganese sulfate (manganic sulfate) is colorless (to pale pink) crystals, which degrade at the temperature of 850 °C. Manganese sulfate forms crystallohydrates with 1, 4, 5 and 7 water molecules; Monohydrate MnSO4.H2O is formed by heating of other Manganese sulfate hydrates up to ~ 200 °C, precipitates from aqueous solutions at the temperature range of 150-160 °C.

Manganese sulfate application

Manganese sulfate (manganic sulfate) is used

as a component of coloring agents in textile industry,
as a component in the manufacture of lead-manganese driers;
as a component for the production of premixes used in animal nutrition;
in organic synthesis, as a catalyst, including the manufacture of synthetic fatty acids,
for the production of other Mn salts;
as an electrolyte in the production of MnO2 and Mn
