Range of application
Light soda ash and dense soda ash are used in the manufacture of all types of glass, including crystal, optical and medical glass, glass blocks, foam glass, soluble sodium silicate, ceramic tiles, frit component for glazes; in ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy: for the production of lead, zinc, tungsten, strontium, chromium, for the desulphurization and phosphorus removal of iron, in exhaust gases purifying, for media neutralization. Light soda ash of premium quality with strictly normalized grain-size distribution is used for the production of electron-tube glass. Dense soda ash is used in chemical industry for the production of synthetic detergents and fatty acids, in the purification of brines, in the production of phosphorus, chromium, barium, sodium salts as a carbonate-containing raw material, in the production of glycerols, allyl alcohol; in pulp and paper, aniline ink, paint-and-varnish and oil industries.
