Cationite KU-2-8 Na is highly molecular polymer compound with a three-dimensional gel structure. Matrix type – styrol – divinylbenzene, functional group – sulfonate group, end product ionic form - sodium (Na).
Cationite KU-2-8 Na has a high operating capacity, high chemical stability, mechanic stability, and stability to extreme temperatures (110°С - 120°С). For normal operation of cationite, pretreatment of solutions and natural waters (lime, treatment, coagulation, clearing) is required. Water should be maximally purified from suspended particles, oil, organic matters, iron oxides. When using cationites as sodium for water softening (Na-cationization), sodium chloride optimal concentration per regeneration is 5-10%, salt specific consumption – 200-250 g/g-mol of ions absorbed.
Cationite should be stored in restricted store facilities, which protect from direct sun light and atmospheric precipitations at a temperature not below 2°C. Cationites should be transported in closed vehicles under the rules of cargo transportation applicable to this type of vehicles.
Cationite transportation with oxidants and other aggressive compounds is prohibited. As agreed upon with consumers, dispatch of cationite and anionite in a single vehicle is optional.
